Country: Eswatini Description of the Assignment:The consultant is expected to conduct a comprehensive review of both EHIS and AFA, assessing their functionality, interoperability, and effectiveness in supporting Eswatini's agricultural sector. This review will focus on enhancing the platforms' capabilities, particularly in three key areas:Innovative Finance Module: The consultant will evaluate existing financial tools and transaction mechanisms, ensuring seamless loan application processes, digital payment integration, and risk assessment features. The goal is to strengthen financial inclusion by optimizing credit accessibility, insurance solutions, and fintech-driven financing models for farmers and agribusinesses. Additionally, the consultant will engage key stakeholders, including the Eswatini FinTech Working Group (EFWG), to ensure that the Innovative Finance module is tested within safe sandboxes provided by the Central Bank of Eswatini. This controlled environment will allow for secure experimentation, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation, ensuring that financial solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with national fintech policies.Accounting Module: The consultant will assess the financial tracking and reporting functionalities, ensuring that farmers, traders, and financial institutions can manage transactions, monitor loan balances, and generate financial statements efficiently.
