- Request for proposals are invited for Provision of Legal Support and Advisory Services The ‘Request for proposals- document can be obtained at Mankayane Town Board offices at the accounts office at a non-refundable fee of E650 (Six Hundred and Fifty Emalangeni) per set. SCOPE OF WORK The successful firm will be expected to perform all duties and services including but not limited to these: 6 a. Assist in the drafting of legally binding documents (contract, agreements, and lease) between the Board and all service providers or any legal opinions as instructed by the Board during the course of the contract period. b. Always avail themselves in any legal presentation on given instructions by the Board in litigations before the Court of Law. c. Provide any legal assistance as and when needed in any state of emergency by the Board. d. Collect debts or demand payments from residential and commercial rate payers, companies or individuals following an instruction from the Board and further institute any legal proceedings, for the recovery and collection of the specified debts. Ensure that all transactions between both parties remain confidential. e. Advice the Board on prospects of success and contingent based on the instructions received and any other matters that may occur which may need the Board-s attention. f. Institute all legal actions or defend the Board in any event of lawsuits initiated by any entities or individuals, including employees. g. Provide any periodic and scheduled reporting and progress in all instructions given by the Board. Bids must be in sealed envelope and delivered to the address below on or before 12:00 noon local time on Tuesday, 5 th October 2021. Late bids will be rejected.
